It's official: Usyk - Fury fight will take place on April 29

Fran Warren, the promoter of British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs), said that his client's fight against Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) will take place on April 29, but the venue is not yet known. His words are quoted by talkSport:

"The fight will 100% take place on the last Saturday of April. Where it will take place, I think, will be determined within the next six or seven days at most.

If we can't do what we're asked to do with Tyson and Usyk in Saudi Arabia, then the fight will take place in the UK. But we're not that far from where we need to be in our negotiations with the Saudis," Warren said.

It will be recalled that Usyk had his last fight on August 20, 2022 in Saudi Arabia against Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) and successfully defended his world titles.
