Gregoire Ozou earned his first seven-figure prize in a live poker tournament by winning the $40 000 no-limit hold'em tournament at the Triton Super High Roller Series Cyprus. The Frenchman entered into a heads-up deal with Robert Heidorn (Germany), as a result of which Ozu took $1 050 024 in prize money.

Thanks to this result, Ozu now has more than $2.1 million in registered tournament earnings in his career. The victory also brought him 924 points in the Player of the Year 2023 rating. This was his second final table of the year, having previously taken fifth place in the €50 000 buy-in tournament at the European Poker Tour Paris Festival in February for $280 000. As a result, the Frenchman now ranks 131st in the overall POY standings.

In total, 125 entries were submitted to the $40 000 Triton Super High Roller Series, which created a prize pool of $5 million, which was distributed among the top 17 participants.
