Former Russian biathlete Darya Virolainen may start playing for the Finnish national team in the new season
Darya performed at the Finnish Summer Biathlon Championship. Winner of the World Cup stages in the Russian national team for 6 years already, she lives in the neighboring country and trains in the local sports club. For the first time in a long time the biathlete took part in an official start, which caused a storm of emotions in Russia.
The Ukrainian Sambo Federation has announced it will not participate in the European Championships due to the presence of Russian and Belarusian athletes at the tournament
The tournament is held on September 14-19 in Novi Sad, Serbia. Our sambo wrestlers are admitted to the tournament in a neutral status, in case of their victory the anthem of the International Sambo Federation will be played.
