Bob Richards was called the pole vaulting pastor

Bob Richards, the only two-time Olympic pole vault champion, died at the age of 97, just days after his birthday. Recently, a new world record was set in the pole vault.

After his sports career, Bob Richards worked in television, appearing in sports programs and giving motivational speeches. In 1984, Richards ran for president of the United States. He received 0.07% of the vote.
