Hailing from Brainerd and playing as a defenseman for the Blue Ox, Brayden Velasco has been selected to join the prestigious Youth 14U Team Minnesota. It’s a milestone that places him in the spotlight of youth hockey, especially as he takes part in the USHL Fall Classic in Pittsburgh from September 18 to 20.

Selection Journey

Brayden’s journey to selection was a demanding one, as he emerged as one of 40 standout players chosen from the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance 14 Boys Summer Development Camp in St. Cloud. His dedication and skills on the ice did not go unnoticed, leading him to this significant opportunity on Team Minnesota.

Coaching the Future

Celebrating a decade-long tradition, the USHL Fall Classic will see every USHL team hit the ice for the 2025 DICK’S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pa. This event brings together 40 youth programs, featuring intense competitions across multiple age categories including 14U, 15U, 16U, and 18U levels.
