UEFA can remove Juventus from European competitions
A few days ago, Juve lost 15 points in Serie A due to a case of fictitious capital gains.
And now, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, UEFA may suspend the Turin team from European competitions for "unsportsmanlike behavior" related to another area of the club's financial violations - salary fraud.
In 2021, Juventus paid a fine of €3.5 million for non-compliance with financial fair play rules. Now the amount will increase to 23 million euros if it is proven that the Bianconeri have committed any other financial violations in the next three years. Depending on the amount of losses, Juventus may also be punished by being banned from European competitions for more than a season.
The possible ban will only apply if Juventus qualifies for the European competitions. If the club fails to finish in the top 7 of Serie A this season, the punishment will only take effect when Juve returns to Europe
