Tear gas, bursting fans, traffic jams - not at all what the main match of the season looks like.

The French government's position is unanimous - the English fans are to blame. Even two ministers have spoken out about it.

The Minister of the Interior: "These problems only occur in soccer with some English clubs. And I will remind you that a few days ago the coach of Liverpool urged fans to come to France even without tickets.

Minister of Sport: "And the first thing to remember is that Liverpool's British fans, who either had fake tickets or no tickets at all, poured in there. The law and order forces were under tremendous pressure and encountered serious difficulties in trying to organize the movement of people."

Liverpool have already responded - naturally, the club is very unhappy with such allegations. The president said that he received a lot of letters from fans who were scared to death of what was happening in Paris. Innocent people suffered from pepper spray and tear gas:

"On behalf of all the fans who survived this nightmare, I demand an apology and an assurance that the French authorities and UEFA will allow an independent and transparent investigation," the letter from the club president follows.

What is clear is that this must not happen again
