The 22nd edition of the BWB Europe camp marked a historic first for Great Britain as it opened its doors to 60 of the continent’s brightest high school basketball stars. Held from August 12-15, this influential program by the NBA and FIBA is dedicated to nurturing both basketball skills and personal growth.

A Palette of Activities for Future Stars

Joksimovic and his peers were immersed in an intensive schedule featuring movement efficiency drills, offensive-defensive skill stations, and 5-on-5 games. They also took part in three-point contests and engaged in life-skills and leadership development sessions.

Esteemed Coaches Leading the Charge

The campers were guided by notable NBA and WNBA figures including Ivica Zubac, Kevin Huerter, Tyson Chandler, Sylvia Fowles, and Derek Fisher. Under their mentorship, Joksimovic impressed with an average of 8.9 points, leading the scoreboard with spectacular performances of 17 and 13 points.

While the Team Crowned Champions, Joksimovic Stood Out

Despite Joksimovic’s individual brilliance, it was Team Phoenix who clinched the camp tournament title with a thrilling 34-32 win over Philadelphia. Players like Thomas Acunzo and Sten Markus Adamson exhibited remarkable team play, contributing to Phoenix’s victory.

While Joksimovic took home the MVP title, Great Britain’s Obinna Ekufu was named Defensive MVP.
