Davis will give all the World Cup prize money to charity. All for the sake of his native Canada.
When Alphonso was 5 years old, his family fled Ghana to escape the civil war. Since then, Canada has been Davis' home and soccer his life's work.
The player wrote a touching post on social media:
"Canada has given me and my family the opportunity to live a better life. I was able to realize all my dreams. I'm very thankful and I want to make a gesture in return."
